Screen applications

Open the vacancy, select View Applications, then start in Applied. This tutorial produces a screening result that you can review before making a decision.

Screening requires an active CV Playbook with criteria. On the board, open Job setup, then select CV Playbook. Always confirm that you are changing criteria for the vacancy under review.

New screening accepts only early-stage applications with no result or a pending or failed result. A Candidate who is already shortlisted, rejected, hired, or active in an AI interview is not part of new screening.

  1. In Applied, select one or more applications to review.

  2. Select Screen selected. To screen the complete column, you can also select Screen applications.

  3. If your account uses a self-service plan, read the credit count in the confirmation. Continue only when the Candidate count is correct.

  4. Wait for the analysis progress to finish. Successful results move the application to Screened.

On a Candidate card in Screened, open the action menu and select View Application Analysis. The Application Screening Analysis dialog opens.

  1. Read CV evidence score at the top as a reading of the CV, not a decision. When the documents evidenced none of the criteria, the dialog shows a sentence instead of a number.

  2. Read the lines under the score. They say how many CV criteria were scored, the weighted coverage, and how many required criteria lack evidence. CV score uses scored criteria only means that some criteria were left out of the score.

  3. Check whether the result reads AI Generated or Manual Override. For an override, scroll to the Manual Override panel and use Override Score: as the reviewer-set value. The large number stays the AI score.

  4. Under CV evidence, read every criterion. A scored criterion shows its score out of the maximum, the rubric anchor it matched, and the Passage from the CV with its Location. Compare the passage with the CV.

  5. A criterion marked Not evidenced has no score. Its row says whether the CV does not mention it or mentions related duties only.

  6. Read the Reading line to see why the passage supports the score. Every passage is a statement by the Candidate, not verified evidence.

Use the screening result reference for each field.

The board marks a result outdated when the active CV Playbook changed or was updated after screening. Screening again is available only for a completed result before the Candidate reaches a later stage or has interview activity.

  1. Open Screened.

  2. If Re-Screen appears, check how many Candidates need an update.

  3. Select Candidates who remain eligible. Use Re-screen selected CVs for a selected group.

  4. Run the screening, then read every criterion again. The new result uses the active CV Playbook.

After checking all evidence, continue to the Candidate pipeline tutorial.
