Quickstart: prepare the AI interview journey

Follow one path from a new job to reviewing interview results. This page uses synthetic examples; never put customer data, Candidate data, an invitation link, or a token into documentation.

01

First stage

Create a job

From the Jobs page, choose Create Job. Use the AI-powered path when you have job-posting text to review, or choose manual creation to enter the details from scratch.

  1. Enter the title, employment type, location, and a safe-to-share description. Include responsibilities and requirements that support human review.

  2. If AI extracts details from job text, treat the result as a draft. Check the title, location, employment type, description, and requirements before saving it.

  3. Choose Save Job when the details are correct. Confirm that the saved job is the one you will use for the interview.

Automation vs. human review

AI can help draft or extract job details. You still check the draft and approve the context that will be used in the next stage.

Synthetic example: use a label such as [Synthetic role] and invented description text for practice. The example does not represent a customer or a specific Candidate.

Second stage

Complete AI interview setup

Open Interview Setup from the saved job. AI interview setup is the complete configuration for the interview experience, not only a set of criteria.

  • review or create questions and evaluation criteria;
  • set the duration, language, voice, opening message, and closing message;
  • check other preferences available for that job; and
  • save the configuration only after it matches the job’s purpose.

An Interview playbook is one component of AI interview setup: the evaluation criteria and evidence markers used within the interview.

A CV playbook contains CV-screening criteria. It is not a replacement for AI interview setup and it is not the Candidate experience.

Automation vs. human review

AI can generate a draft of criteria or suggested questions. Read each draft, correct anything irrelevant, and save the criteria you approve. The recruiting team remains responsible for the configuration used.

Use Interview Preview when available to experience the conversation as a Candidate would. Use the preview to check questions and messages; do not treat it as a production Candidate result.

Next: invite a Candidate with the reviewed setup →

03

Third stage

Invite Candidate

After the setup is saved and the preview is checked, open the invitation control for the matching job or application. Verify the job and recipient before sending.

  1. confirm that the correct AI interview setup is selected;
  2. use the intended Candidate and recipient address;
  3. send the invitation only after a person approves the details; and
  4. keep the invitation status in the product controls available to you.

Invitation links, tokens, identifiers, customer data, and recordings are operational information. Do not copy them into public pages, code examples, screenshots, or issues. If the product generates a new link, share it only through the channel intended for the Candidate.

Next: wait for results, then review the evidence →

Fourth stage

Review results with evidence

Open Interview Results for the job. Start with the interview status, then inspect the Candidate detail and its context before drawing a conclusion.

  1. Use the available status and filter controls to find completed interviews or items that need follow-up.

  2. Read the criterion score breakdown, recommendation, strengths, improvement notes, and concerns together with their evidence sources.

  3. Compare the summary with the transcript. Check video or technical analysis when available and relevant; not every evidence type is always present.

  4. record the decision through your organization’s human process.

AI analyzes: responses, conversation, and available signals to help assemble the result.

A person decides: the recruiting team weighs evidence, job context, and other relevant information before making a hiring decision.

An automated score or recommendation is a signal to review, not an automated hiring decision. Never decide from a single number.

Next: document the human decision and follow-up →

After the quickstart

Repeat the four stages for the next job, keep using synthetic examples when testing documentation, and request access before continuing if you do not have the required capabilities. For every result, keep final responsibility with human review.
